Run 8

The Figure shows capture time distributions from Tom's analysis. cap.gif

with EH and EVH candidates and control events. I define the ratio between EVH/EH for a time interval where EH seems reasonably clean and get:
3800 ns to 7800 ns     ratio: 0.811  +- 0.011
3800 ns to 7800 ns     ratio: 0.965  +- 0.007
3800 ns to 7800 ns     ratio: 0.904  +- 0.027

A question to Brendan: How do these spectra and ratios look for the CalibH2O data?

To further check the stability of the ratios above, I divided the EH/EVH time spectra for the 3 cases. ratio1.gif

Finally I divided EVH prod-50 by EVH CalibN2, to look for differences. ratio2.gif

Work directory is kammel/muca/2007/studies/capture. Script attached. Fig shows results for Lambda_Z as free parameter and different fit ranges (see inset). Run 8 EH has a lot of background. Run 10 muon norm has background at large z. My chi2 is bad. lamZ.png
