Run1 Summary

The first MuSun musun run was started Nov. 3rd and completed Dec. 18th of 2008 at PSI, Switzerland.

Total 7405 runs were collected during one month of actual run period.

One copy of the 71 tapes are in room 428 Loomis Lab, Illinois.

7217 runs (8.9 TB) were copied to the NPL and then copied to NCSA FTP server (mss.ncsa.uiuc.edu) in the directory /home/kizilgul/Runs1.

The run log database is on the MYSQL server, which can be reached from any NPL computers with npl ~> mysql -h mysql -u musun -p.

Total 5183 runs (4532 mu-, 653 mu+) are marked as a good ('Y') quality production run.

The 'Y' quality runs take 7.5 TB disk space

During the runs, logs are recorded online to run1 elogs.

The summary of the elogs created for data classification.

Before the data classification, the mysql database has been updated according to elogs.

Run1 Datasets

The runs from the first MuSun run is classified into different datasets. A sample data set name and how to read it is given in figure below.

All runs with quality 'Y' and ncsa_available=1 are selected and "PR" (=Production Run) name is given. These runs are then classified depending on muon beam and momentum scales. Then classification of the TPC gas, hv and magnet is applied (see elog). At last, subset of datasets were constructed depending on FADC and WFD settings (see elog).
