Simulations and Simulation Studies for 2006

Wherein we describe various simulation tools and studies.

WFD Pulse Simulator (Kevin and Qinzeng)

Designed to facilitate testing of the pulse fitter codes, this simulator generates sets of pulses for testing. In particular, it allows specification of various input distributions (for instance, pulse shapes and time spectra) via pluggable functions. It uses those various distributions to generate MuLan MIDAS formatted data files, including the full panoply of data formatting errors. Of course, this simulator is currently only available in Kevin's mind ... porting to C++ is ongoing at this time.
